I got a q8 max shield on a dead sword run. I'd say they drop in the lvl18-24 range of enemies.

I have a r8 Chaos axe 15% vs hexed, i modded it perf and gave it to my war, even though i have tons of other perfect axes. But i do rarely see r8s. though my friend has r8 enamaled shield, r8 stone summit, r8 darkwing, r8 Shield of the wing, etc. all his shields are r8 for his monk

i got all of my req 8 and 7's in the desert in prophecies, Q8 blood truncheon, max dam , +4 nrgy>50 and req 7 tactics shield of the wing max AL +29, the other max stuff i sold, but the desert might be a good place to look and all this was done before hard mode existed.

Req 8's drop from nearly evrything ingame from lvl 16 and upto lvl 30. The OP just hasnt been lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
The best ranges and chances to find max req 8's are in the range of lvl 18- lvl 24. |

I haven't got a r8 anything since there was only Prophecies. I've ID'd about 3000-4000+ golds since then, and not one r8, especially a max r8 inscribable weap. Maybe just sh*tty luck for me as always.
